Where the Magic Happens!

Work on transforming the family cottage into Heather’s personal pottery studio began in late 2024. This charming three-room, three-season cottage near Haliburton has been part of her family for generations and holds many special memories.

Heather spent time here as a child when the property served as the family’s summer cottage. Over the years, it became a seasonal residence and later a short-term rental before beginning its newest chapter as a dedicated creative space for Heather’s ceramic art.

The property includes a small outbuilding that now houses the kiln, along with a main studio cottage equipped with a kitchen and washroom. Its lakefront setting and private boathouse also make it possible for Heather to take an occasional break from creating with a refreshing swim or paddle around Tedious Lake.

Surrounded by woods, wildlife and the changing beauty of the seasons, the studio provides endless inspiration for Heather’s nature-influenced work. It is close enough to home to be convenient, yet far enough away to offer the peaceful separation and balance that make creativity possible.

We are developing a schedule of open-studio dates around Heather’s exhibitions, shows and other events. If you would like to visit outside one of our scheduled open days, please contact Heather in advance to arrange a suitable time.
